1. Consume leafy greens
Many people don’t see leafy greens as a great way to energize themselves, but they are an excellent source of chromium, iron and magnesium. Each of these minerals is vital for your brain, your mood, energy levels, and for balancing your blood sugar level. They’re also good for your nervous system. Include leafy greens like kale, spinach, romaine, collards, chard, beet greens, parsley and cilantro for the best possible sources.

Your health and energy level depend on proper nutrition and protein deficiencycan be a sure way to exhaust yourself very quickly. To stay nourished we need a balance of healthy fats, healthy carbs and protein every day. Protein contains amino acids that keep your blood sugar stable, aid in metabolism functions and take longer to digest, keeping you fuller much longer than fat or carbs. Protein is especially vital if you have sugar cravings, hypoglycemia, or diabetes. Implement lean protein from eggs, fish, yogurt, tofu, organic soy milk, healthy protein powders, spirulina, lean poultry, and raw seeds and nuts.
3. Stay hydrated
I hope you know that chronic dehydration is really bad for your performance. That’s why it’s important to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, eating water-rich foods, avoiding caffeine-rich beverages, especially energy drinks that flush water out of your system, and carrying a water bottle anytime you go outdoors.
