Pro Hair Treatment Tips During Quarantine : Most of us go to the SPA or salon every weekend while some after every fifteen days for a hair Spa or other beauty treatment.  But due to COVID-19, all the Salon and Spa are closed for the safety of their clients and employees. Don’t worry; we are here providing you with a few simple and easy steps about how to do a Hair SPA at home.  Follow the below steps and get a Hair SPA at home during Quarantine.

Hair Message

The very first step to doing your hair spa at home is by oiling your hair now I’m pretty sure your mom and your grandma have already told you benefits of doing oiling at home. It not only nourishes the hair, but it also improves blood flow to the scalp. Regular oiling your hair will make your hair healthier and improve the quality of it. First, brush your hair and get rid of all the knots and tangles; this makes the process of oil application easy. Now warm up little oil. Next section the hair with your fingers and then take some oil and in circular motions work it into the roots of the head.

Use the right amount of oil as using too much will mean that you need to use more shampoo later. Massage in a consistent pattern and try to cover the entire scalp. Make sure to apply oil at the area behind the ears, at the back of the head. When you are done with the whole scalp, then start using the oil on the length of your hair. Take some oil and rub it onto your palm then run it on the length of your hair. Focus on the tips of the hair, because they need a lot more nourishment. Message your hair gently for 15 minutes and wait for a bit before going on to the next step. 

Steam Hair

This is the most crucial step while doing hair spa treatment at home. Steam therapy will open up the hair follicles and the pores of the scalp which means that the moisture will seep in and it will ensure that the nutrients of the oil reach right up to the cuticles of the hair. Now to start with a steam therapy take a thin towel, and soak it in a tub of warm water, make sure that the water is not too hot as it can harm the hair. Remove the towel and squeeze out excess water, then just wrap this warm towel around your head and leave it for about 10 minutes. Unwrap the towel and massage your head gently to work the oil into the hair. This steam therapy increases blood flow and provides nourishment to the scalp resulting in healthy and robust hair.

Now it’s time to wash the hair and get rid of all the impurities that have been released after the steam therapy. Use your regular shampoo, which is suggested by your stylist to wash hair. Gently massage your scalp with the shampoo walking your way down to every single strand of hair. Now while shampooing most of us tend to rub the hair, thinking it cleans out the dirt. But the reality is that it makes the hair dry frizzy and causes hair breakage.  Shampoo the hair twice, if you feel the hair still oily and rinse off thoroughly you.  Use lukewarm or cold water to wash your hair as hot water weakens the roots and causes dandruff.

Hair condition

After shampooing apply a conditioner to moisturize and tame down the dryness and frizziness. Hair conditioner makes them more manageable and looks shiny and super soft.  Before you start conditioning the hair, make sure to squeeze the water out of your strands. Excess water will dilute the conditioner and prevent the hair from soaking in the moisturizing ingredients. Take some on your palm and smooth it over the hair from Midways to the tips. Now let it sit for about three to four minutes and rinse it off with water. Now dry your hair with a towel.

Hair Mask

A hair mask provides your hair with the right kind of nutrients and also protect from heat and chemicals. Take the hair mask and massage it into your scalp. Section the hair and work the massage downwards to the tips of the hair. Disperse the mask evenly throughout the hair using a gentle massaging motion. Pay extra attention to the tips as they are prone to dryness and need extra care. Now take a wide-tooth comb and comb through. This ensures that the mask is evenly distributed throughout the hair.
